Objects of the past found and exposed directly in contact with the optical sensor of an old scanner. The interposition of the object between the reading surface and the light source opens up a space that flattens volumes and thicknesses, suggesting a mysterious dimension of things. A stapler, a compass, a scissor: shapes observed in a new way through the automatic operation of a device, arranged in space and refracted by the glass that traces their contours. The hypothesis of a versatile and illusory reality generates doubts about the identity of the things themselves. |

Oggetti del passato ritrovati ed esposti direttamente a contatto con il sensore ottico di un vecchio scanner. L’interposizione dell'oggetto fra il piano di lettura e la fonte luminosa apre uno spazio che appiattisce volumi e spessori, suggerendo una dimensione misteriosa delle cose. Una pinzatrice, un compasso, una forbice: forme osservate in modo nuovo attraverso il funzionamento automatico di un dispositivo, sistemate nello spazio e rifratte dal vetro che ne traccia i contorni. L’ipotesi di una realtà versatile ed illusoria genera dubbi sull’identità delle cose stesse. |
